Cartoon by Fred Wright (1907-1984), the leading left-labor columnist from the 1940s through the 1970s, whose work was featured in the UE News, publication of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UERMWA) and dealt with both labor and social issues. In this cartoon, an announcer seeking to "warm up" a crowd of workers is advised by one of them that the announcement of a wage increase will do it just fine.
